Born in Montreal, Rosie majored in art and psychology at McGill University. In 1978 she moved to Toronto to pursue a career in travel, which was her other passion. By the time she turned 30, she had the opportunity to see and explore most of the world. In 1986 she married, and has one son.
Rosie began painting in earnest, when due to an illness, she found herself at home with free time. Creative energy is a wonderful healer and an avenue to focus positive energy. It was also a way to personalize her own home with the beauty of bold and vibrant colors. Starting with whimsical art, she branched out to landscapes, florals, and women and children. She readily admits that painting often becomes an obsessive passion, consuming all her energy and thought until the piece is done. Each piece holds a special place in her heart, because of the pure joy of its creation. The art of painting and the blending of colors have a soothing, yet stimulating effect on the mind and soul.
She is thrilled to know that her art has brought happiness and pleasure to those who have acquired it for their own homes.
